How we work
You don't need an agency. You need a GPS.
Most dog trainers who want to grow end up paying a marketing agency a retainer. Here's why that's usually the wrong move now, and what we do instead.
The agency model
They get paid whether you grow or not.
- A monthly retainer that comes out of your account on the 1st, regardless of what came in.
- No skin in the game. If you don't make more money, they still made theirs.
- Slow. Weeks for a landing page, a fortnight for a "strategy deck", quarterly reviews.
- They own the know-how. Cancel, and you're back to square one with nothing in your hands.
- Generic. The same funnel they sold the dentist, with a dog in the photo.
The Vantage model
We only win when your business does.
- A 12-month mentorship with a guarantee: hit the goals we set together or we keep working for free.
- You learn to do it yourself, quicker and cheaper than an agency can, with AI doing the heavy lifting.
- Fast. In the age of AI workflows there is no reason a landing page, an email sequence or an ad set takes weeks.
- You own everything: the scripts, the SOPs, the templates, the skills. Forever.
- Built by dog trainers, for dog trainers, from a business doing this every single day.
One-to-one doesn't only happen on Zoom. Mentorship weekend, July 2026.
We help run your business with you, via four things.
One-to-one consulting
This is the bit that makes it a GPS rather than a map. Regular calls where we look at your numbers, your offer, your calendar and your calls, and tell you the next turn to take. If a client call went wrong, we listen to it together.
Education
Positioning, delivery systems, revenue architecture. In that order, because the order is the whole point. Plus expert clinics from our creative director, head of marketing, head of paid advertising and email strategist.
AI tools
An AI brain trained on how we run YCA, so the question you'd normally sit on for a fortnight gets answered at 11pm on a Tuesday. And workflows that do in minutes what you used to pay an agency a month for.
Scripts, SOPs, templates & strategies
Pre-proven and battle-tested at Yorkshire Canine Academy: sales scripts, pre-call nurture, pricing structures, ad frameworks, email sequences, group-class models, hiring SOPs. Paint-by-numbers. Copy, adapt, run.
The order of operations
First: positioning. We fix who you're for, what you sell and what it costs. Most trainers leave this stage with a higher price and a clearer offer than they walked in with, and that alone usually pays for the mentorship.
Second: the sales system. Pre-call nurture, the call itself, follow-up and disqualification. You don't need to become a salesperson. You need a process good enough that you're just having a conversation.
Third: delivery and lead flow. Moving from one-to-one to one-to-few where it makes sense, so revenue isn't chained to your hours, and then turning the traffic on: organic, paid, email, or all three, depending on where you are.
After that, it's execution with us in the passenger seat for the rest of the 12 months. Nothing here is theory. Every system is one we run ourselves.
You don't need to learn how to edit videos at 8pm. You need to know exactly what to do, in what order, with someone checking you've done it. That's the whole job, and it's the half nobody taught you.
What this isn't
We're not going to tell you to go and make friends with strangers on Facebook. There's no content calendar to fill, no 90-day hustle challenge, and nothing that depends on you becoming a different person on camera. We show you exactly how, in the order that works, then stay in the passenger seat while you do it.
